Grupo Taper, S.A. was created in June 1989 when six companies with more than 25 years of experience in the distribution of medical products in both the public and private health sectors joined forces. In the following years several other firms joined us, extending and diversifying our product range. This made it possible to move into markets such as industry, research and analytical laboratories and diagnostic imaging.

In 2004 Grupo Taper S.A. became a single company bringing together the following firms: PACISA Y GIRALT, ENDOSCOPIA MEDICA, DISSA and LA CASA DEL MEDICO. We also moved into Portugal taking over the business of three distribution companies which have been merged under the name of Grupo Taper Portugal, Lda.
